Betty & George, 2019
pen and acrylic on marine ply
50 x 50 cm each
Betty and George are named after that ever present human tendency to mistakenly relate unrelated concepts – a form of Apophenia. I might tell you how these two figures represent two Melbournites in love, or my first pet rocks that I found along the Yarra. Fortunately either could be true.
These works were exhibited in 30 x 30, at Flinders Lane Gallery, celebrating their 30th anniversary.
